Did The Work…

You do not have to be patient about your success. If you have done the work, you deserve the recognition.

If you did the work, you deserve the success.

I had an interesting discussion with a friend about waiting to be recognized for the hard work they had done. Feeling like you are not being acknowledged — whether that be through positive words of affirmation, a promotion, or a bonus — can be draining on your motivation.

I will say this: you do not have to be patient about your success. If you have done the work, you deserve the recognition. Take a step back, evaluate whether you have done what is required, and if you have to step away from your current opportunity for greener pastures, do so.

Did the work? Don’t be patient about your success.
