Quality Over Quantity
It’s not the number of books you’ve read, social media friends you have, or times you’ve done one thing versus another. Quantity only matters in respect to the number of opportunities created, people you’ve touched in a positive way, or solutions to problems. And even that is dependent on one thing: quality.
It is the quality of the books you read that builds the mind. I’d rather have one friend I know I can depend on when it counts the most than a long list of unknowns filling a space on social media to feel better about myself. I’d rather take the time to do a great job at something once, and potentially never have to do it again, than repeat the process over and over to patch the lack of effort taken the first time.
The quality of a man is not measured in the number of times he tells you he is great, but in his effort to consistently improve himself.
