Passion & Sacrifice
Very often I’m asked by the people I meet — people whose journeys I have the privilege of being part of — “How do I know what it is I am to be doing in life?”
My response is simple. Find what you are passionate about. What you are willing to sacrifice time, energy, sleep, and some of your deepest desires for. That is what you should be doing.
Life is a multivariate time series. Not everything falls into place at once. There are so many variables that are different for each of us. Some of us grew up with, some without. Whatever that with or without is, it has helped mold you into who you are today. Some of that is positive. Some not so positive.
Collect the variables in your life that are holding you back. Throw them away. If you have to force yourself to do something, you truly aren’t passionate about it, and you surely won’t sacrifice for it when challenging times arise. The things that elevate your thinking, increase your positivity, and energize you to go harder toward your goals — those are the things to hold onto.
Ask yourself what your passions are. Insert the variables you would have to sacrifice to get to that passion. If you are willing, then the answer is already in front of you.
